Project Outline

Erection of two detached buildings for 8 flats in South Croydon

The proposed development follows a number of previous applications for the provision of residential development on this site. Whilst several proposals have been refused by the Council, the principle of development was not in question. Therefore, for this project it was important to consider the best use of land whilst respecting the character of the locality.

Due to the history of the site and the public interest of the project it was necessary for the Council to determine the application at Committee level. WS Planning & Architecture spoke at the Planning Committee meeting in support of the proposal. We addressed the main concerns raised by the local ward Councillor and local residents. In line with the Officer’s positive recommendation, the application was granted at Committee.
