Rowplatt Lane in Felbridge, Surrey
The current proposal follows a full planning application for the erection of 9 new dwellings in Felbridge. The project was seeking the partial demolition of the existing house and the erection of 9 new dwellings including 3 detached dwellings, 2 linked detached dwellings, and 4 semi-detached dwellings. The site is situated within the Village boundary of Felbridge which allows for limited infilling despite also being located in the Green Belt.
The design of the project was led by an assessment of dwellings in the surrounding area to ensure the proposed development is in keeping with the local character and grain of development. WS Planning & Architecture acted as the Planning Agents for this project liaising with external consultants to pull the application submission together. This project was completed for Devine Homes PLC, a client which WS Planning & Architecture have worked with on several projects. Devine Homes PLC build fine homes with an innovative design, they predominantly work in South East England, Surrey and the surrounding area.
Due to the site constraints of this project, there were a number of challenges to overcome. However, due to the appropriate design of the development, the Case Officer concluded the development would not significantly harm the character and appearance of the area, nor the amenity of local residents. Therefore, the proposed development was recommended for approval at the Local Level.
