Project Outline

Since 1985, The Old Pheasantry has been used by Land and City Families Trust who are a registered charity seeking to provide accommodation for groups of people from deprived circumstances. The larger part of the main building continues to be used as accommodation for short periods of time by groups bringing disadvantaged children for educational or recreational breaks. Meanwhile, the remaining part of the building is leased to Merrywood House School, to be used as a Special Education Needs (SEN) school for primary children with complex needs.

Full planning permission was required to secure this change of use, for which WS Planning & Architecture were eager to assist. Having liaised with the Applicants and Preferred Partners, WS Planning & Architecture were able to prepare supporting documentation for the purposes of the application, as well as the planning appeal, following an unfortunate refusal at Planning Committee.
