Project Outline

Following the demolition of Stanton Lodge, these new houses at Stanton Lodge Gardens encompass a luxurious modern specification including garages and parking spaces enclosed by decorative landscaped front gardens. Acting as Planning Agents for the project, WS Planning & Architecture liaised with the designers and external advisors to draw up a submission for the council and supported the application with a detailed Planning, Design & Access Statement.

The application was refused at local level and subsequently allowed on appeal. In allowing the appeal the Inspector considered the layout would avoid being car dominated and would create it’s own character akin to a private drive. The Inspector also noted that any infill or redevelopment will inevitably change the existing pattern of development such that, realistically, it is unlikely there will be many instances where existing patterns, plot sizes and building spaces will be maintained.
