The Planning and Architecture teams were consulted to gain planning permission for the demolition of an existing conservatory and the erection of a single storey extension to the rear of the property which also connected the main house to an outbuilding on the eastern edge of the plot. The site is within The Warren and The Glade Residential Area of Special Character (RASC). This is a policy constraint that can often make it harder to get permission in these areas. The proposal by WS was respectful to the character of the RASC and the home’s Sylvan character was not lost by the extension.
