Peter graduated from Swansea University with a Mathematics Degree in 2014. He then spent four years in the hospitality sector working in customer service. Peter joined the WS team in October 2018 as a Planning Technician and was promoted to a Senior Planner in October 2022.
In November 2022, Peter became an Associate Member RTPI. Associate membership is a partial professional qualification, awarded in recognition of achievement and demonstrable involvement in, or engagement with, particular areas of planning. Associate membership indicates a certain level of knowledge and experience in the chosen planning field.
Peter handles a wide variety of planning enquiries, from applications to appeals involving Equestrian developments and Changes of Use to large residential proposals. He enjoys the challenge of working on Traveller developments and cases of Enforcement action.
Having worked regularly alongside Barristers and experienced professionals during appeals Peter has learned a great deal, and has been able to help navigate the delicate areas of applications for Traveller sites, and often enforcement action. He is proud to be able to represent the Traveller community, and strives to improve the public understanding behind the need for Traveller sites, wherever they may be located. Peter has recently assisted clients obtain planning permission at appeal, and helped small family groups obtain accommodation for them. Peter is one of our aspiring experts in this complex area of planning.
Peter is an avid supporter of Southampton FC, and whilst he delights in seeing the red and white stripes, he also enjoys the roleplaying and creative problem solving of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign!
