Katrina Ashby

BA (HONS)
Apprentice Architect

Katrina joined WS in August 2023 as an Apprentice Architect, committing to four years at WS and London South Bank University. Katrina works with us 80% of the week and for the remainder she will be studying for her Master’s at LSBU, which will lead to her qualifying as a registered Architect.

After participating in the WS Work Experience Programme at WS’s Reigate office in 2018, Katrina went on to study for her Architecture BA (Hons) Degree at the University of Kent. After graduating in 2022, Katrina volunteered full time at Article 25, the leading humanitarian architecture NGO in the UK, working on a hospital in Montserrat among other projects.

Katrina enjoys travelling and experiencing architecture from different cultures. She has a deep passion for Caribbean architecture, with a specific emphasis on her heritage country Jamaica. Her dissertation explored the impact of Caribbean culture and climate on architecture in the Caribbean.

Katrina attended Woodcote High School and Sixth Form.
