Jhonnatan joined WS as an Architectural Assistant (Part 2) in October 2015, progressed to Senior Architectural Assistant (Part 2) in 2018, and we were delighted when Jhonnatan passed his final examination to qualify as an Architect in January 2020 and was entered into the Register of Architects in March 2020 and welcomed by the RIBA as a Chartered Architect in April 2020.
In July 2022, Jhonnatan was promoted to Associate Director.
Jhonnatan leads on the architectural design of projects throughout our Four Stage Planning & Design Process, working with colleagues and our Preferred Partners to achieve Planning Permissions and Building Regulations Approvals for our clients.
Jhonnatan’s role extends to the construction phase, including responsibility as Principal Designer and Contract Administrator. His recent experience includes overseeing the extension and complete refurbishment of a large house in Brighton and the building of a semi-basement gymnasium in its garden all to a very high standard, and a 3 storey apartment block in Croydon for one of our many housing developer clients.
Jhonnatan gained his MArch from London Metropolitan University, having gained his BA (Hons) from the University of East London. In 2010 and 2013, Jhonnatan won scholarships to a project to help slum dwellers in Indonesia and Nigeria, focusing on the power of a community taking the prime role as activists for redevelopment. Jhonnatan also undertook his RIBA Part 3 course through London Metropolitan University.
Originally from Colombia, Jhonnatan grew up in north London and became an Arsenal fan.
