Emily joined WS Planning & Architecture as a Graduate Planner in 2017. After completing her undergraduate degree in Geography at the University of Southampton, she completed her MSc in Spatial Planning at UCL in 2019. In 2021, Emily became a Chartered Member of RTPI, the Royal Town Planning Institute. Emily became Associate Director in 2022 then promoted to Planning Director in November 2025.
Emily’s main area of responsibility involves managing and overseeing a variety of planning applications and projects. This includes undertaking planning-related research to inform professional planning advice, writing documents for pre-application enquiries, applications and appeals, coordinating consultants and assisting clients achieve planning permission.
She undertakes planning work for the private sector and on behalf of Local Authorities and community groups. She has extensive experience at all stages of the planning process including projects covering minor and major residential developments, home extensions, education, agricultural and commercial uses.
Emily has worked closely with the Reigate Business Guild, community groups, local Schools and Colleges. She often attends Careers Fairs in her community and supports students through the company’s Student Work Experience programme, nurturing future talent that will help shape the world we live in.
