Charlotte joined the WS Planning Team in December 2021 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with a BA (Hons) in Geography in July.
As part of her degree, she undertook a Planning module which required the formation of a neighbourhood plan for the regeneration of Broadfield, Crawley whilst also learning about planning policy. Charlotte has always had a keen interest in buildings and their past, spending time to research the local heritage of areas she has lived, including that of Selly Oak and neighbouring Bournville, in Birmingham and Horley in Surrey.
As an Old Reigatian, having left Reigate Grammar School in 2018 after 7 years, Charlotte has a well-rounded knowledge of the town and its neighbours.
As of February 2022, Charlotte has also undertaken the role of Planning Officer at Epsom and Ewell Borough Council, handling a number of householder planning applications in the Borough. This additional experience provides a rounded perspective of the planning process by working for the public and private sector, that has been crucial to help further her knowledge of the planning system.
