The Planning and Architecture teams worked together on this retrospective application for the retention of a brick wall, railings, gates and external lights at a property in The Warren and The Glade Residential Area of Special Character (RASC) in Kingswood. It was deemed that the design of the proposal would not be damaging to the character of the RASC.

COMMENTS
Within Reigate and Banstead’s policies, RASC designation stipulate strict guidance for the type of gates and walls which would be permitted. The Planning Team were able to advise the Architectural Team as to these stipulations when drawing up the plans, and as such, the Council were able to grant planning permission.
