Project Outline
The Planning team were approached by a taxi firm who wished to change the use class of their building from A1 class (used for retail) to Sui Generis, so that they could legally operate their taxi business from the premises. The unit was previously vacant, but with the help of the Planning team at WS, Dorking High Street gained a vital service. We were pleased to be able to help Magnum Cars expand their business, and open an additional base to expand from.

COMMENTS
Applications for Changes of Use, can often be difficult to progress with success, particularly when a premises is constrained as this one was. In this case concessions had to be made on opening hours, and due to neighbouring residential units, limits were imposed on noise, which presented a further challenge during the conditions discharge. We were also able undertake further work in obtaining the premises advertising consent, which is not something we often work on.
