WS Planning and Architecture have an excellent understanding of the Local Authority planning application process. Our team has assisted Councils with the determination of householder applications and their many complexities and site constraints including Green Belt developments, extensions and alterations to dwellings within Conservation Areas, works to Listed Buildings, proposals located within Flood Zones and sites with TPO’d trees on site within close proximity of the proposed development.

Our Planning Team have acted as expert witness on a wide range of planning appeals for a number of Local Authorities including Waverley Borough Council, Castlepoint Borough Council, Horsham District Council, Sevenoaks District Council and Epsom & Ewell Borough Council. We have also prepared Gypsy & Traveller Needs Assessments for Local Planning Authorities. We have also prepared planning applications on behalf of Local Planning Authorities looking to make the best use of land under their control.

In addition to the recent work on behalf of Epsom & Ewell Borough Council we also handled an outsourced Householder Application contract with the Council from 2002 to 2015 in addition to outsourced Householder Application contracts with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council and Sevenoaks District Council.

Our team at WS Heritage also act on behalf of Local Planning Authorities providing expert heritage advice aswell as handling planning applications and appeals. Our Heritage team provide the necessary early advice that can be so crucial in Heritage cases and also undertake Heritage Impact Assessments, Townscape & Character Appraisals, Historic Building Records and Archaeological Building Recording.
