Project Outline
The application site is a Grade II listed building located in the Marlow Conservation Area and the Primary Shopping Area of Marlow Town Centre. The property is an attractive brick and flint, mid terrace property that fronts directly onto Marlow High Street.
The submitted application seeked consent for a minor internal alterations to the restaurant.
Revised plans were submitted to provide further minor amendments, however no concerns were raised as such the application was recommended for approval.
The proposal relates to the minor alterations to the existing restaurant such as removing ballustrades and raising the lower floor area, closing in existing door, open up wall to create steps, removal of a pillar, reversing of the door swing, and painting of the external woodwork, painted plywood shelves, dwarf wall in plywood and partial removal of wall to make existing pass wider. Furthermore the minor scale form of the proposed alterations is not considered to have a negligible impact on the special interest of the local listed building or to the wider setting of the area.
